Total Eclipse of the Heart(lands) - Solar Eclipse Hike at Mill Creek January 12, 2014 -- Mascoutah, Illinois

Our Mill Creek Natural Area is in the direct line of the Solar Eclipse! Members of HLC will get to join us for a hike and picnic in our breathtaking Mill Creek Natural Area. The solar eclipse will be viewed mid-day. You must be a member of HeartLands Conservancy by August 1, 2017, to participate in this event.

Jingle Hike Challenge November 25, 2016 - January 6, 2017

HeartLands Conservancy challenges you to get outside this winter and explore parks in the Metro East. From Black Friday to the beginning of January, Jingle Bells will be tied on trees in 12 parks throughout our region. Find one, take a photo, post it to social media with #jinglehike and be entered to win prizes. Visit 6 or more and be entered to win a grand prize. The first person to identify the tree correctly gets bonus entries.
